Guidelines for the use of Vann Road Facilities by
 
Teams, Organizations and Individuals

Associated With Newburgh Girls Softball

When not being used by teams belonging to Newburgh Girls Softball, the Softball facilities located at Vann Road Park, Newburgh Indiana are available to all citizens of Warrick County for the recreational use of softball, baseball, picnicking, walking, and similar activities that may be conducted at a typical public park provided such activities do not cause damage to the property or the improvements located at Vann Road Park.

 The following fees and guidelines apply to the use of the facility:

 CHARGED USAGE

Coaches, Instructors, persons or group charging a fee for their services: $25.00/Hour/Field.
Organized Teams of any type: $25.00/Hour/Field.

Minimum charge for a practice or teaching session: 1 Hour/Field ($25.00)
Minimum Charge for a game: 2 Hours/Field ($50.00)  

An Organized Team is defined by meeting one or more of the following criteria;

            The players wear uniforms similar in color.

            The team has one or more adult coaches or managers.

The team plays games which are officiated by sanctioned or by fee paid umpires.

            Members pay a fee of any type to belong on the team.

The team plays or practices on a regular basis.

            The team is a member of any softball or baseball organization such as ASA or PONY.

Insurance: In addition to the hourly fee, the two groups listed above must also provide a copy of liability insurance naming Warrick County Parks Department and Newburgh Girls Softball, Inc. as Additional Insured.

 Deposit & Payment of Fees:
A damage deposit of $100.00 must be paid to the Treasurer of Newburgh Girls Softball along with any hourly fees prior to using the facility. The Treasurer will keep the deposit on account with Newburgh Girls Softball until such time as the deposit is requested returned by the individual having placed the deposit. By keeping the deposit until it’s requested return, it will help avoid the need for multiple deposits. The deposit will be returned provided the Vann Road Park facility has been left undamaged by the team or persons having used the facility. The facility will be inspected by the Maintenance Director of Newburgh Girls Softball prior to returning the deposit.

 Important Note:
Use of the facility does not include the use of the concession stand, restrooms, storage facilities, field lighting, score boards or personal property of Newburgh Girls Softball. Field Lighting may be used at a cost of $15.00/Hour/Field. Score boards may be used at a cost of $5.00/Hour/Field.  

Teams and individuals paying to use the facility must provide their own bases, umpires, score keepers, field preparation, sporting equipment, and any other items. The fee is simply for use of the facility.  

Newburgh Girls Softball reserves the right, at it’s option, to provide concessions while the facility is being used by the fee paying party. All monies received from sells of the concession will be retained by Newburgh Girls Softball, Inc.
